FINAL FILM SCREENSHOT

This is, hopefully, the finished look of my final film. I decided to split things into layers, so that when I import them into After Effects, I can set things at different distances in 3D space. This also enabled me to add shadows using lights; which took me a while to get the hang of, but I think it improves the look of it, maybe adding a bit of depth.

BULLY

This is another character for my final film; who features, bothering Michael after he has come out of the shop.

MISS MAMMY ONE SHOE

The inside of Stephen's house; intentionally very scruffy.

CAR

STEPHENS HOUSE

Final film background; the front of Stephen's house, with the chairlift.

SHOP

Background design for my final film; the corner shop Michael uses to buy his snacks.

A LITTLE TEST

Walk Cycle Test from Tony Lawson on Vimeo.
A test, using the background pan with the character cycles, with some added effects.
I don't think I'll keep the same soundtrack for my final film; this was just an experiment in compositing my character walk cycles with the background, and playing with a few plug ins in After Effects. I quite like the shake effect, but maybe I could tone it down a bit if i was to use it.

STREET

This is the design for the street which will feature at the start of my film. I am quite pleased with the result; using images multiplied over block colors to try and add texture to things.

WALK CYCLE

A walk cycle test for my character, Michael. Hopefully I won't have problems when it comes to compositing this in with the rest of my animation, because I have deliberately set this at a lower frame rate, to try and get more of a limited style. But with the panning backgrounds I think I'll leave those at 24, just because it might look a bit jumpy otherwise.

LAYOUTS

These aren't very good, but they are just ideas for the layout of some backgrounds.
They are sort of, less designs, more just to help plan what I needed. I think I'll try and do some in Photoshop with a bit more style in them.
