Just sort of a test to get the idea of using textures that stay still beneath the animated character; just using masks in Flash.

PICTURE

I was just messing about in photoshop yesterday; thought of adding a bit more depth to my animation using textures. Maybe using masks in flash, having a texture that stays still beneath an area. Maybe glasses look a bit more "nerdy" too, just for the sake of the stereotype.

CHARACTER IDEA

I have pretty much decided to change my plan for my final major project at this stage; I figure that I might as well do it now while I have the chance, than have to commit to something I'm not really that keen on.
This is a little sketch, ideas for the character, Michael; a dork. I think I may stick with the one on the right.

NEW IDEA

I'm not so sure yet, but I think maybe I'll change the idea for my final film. I figure I'm getting a bit bored of my original idea and guessed that the sooner I come up with a new one the better.
I thought of making something where Stephen (a minor character from my other idea) is the main character. Hopefully it won't be a shocking and disgusting portrayal or a disabled child; more or a heartwarming tale of the developing friendship between two losers.

These are some photo's taken by a mate, Frankie, while we were messing about with his camera. Luckily the long exposure on some of them means my disgraceful face is blurred out. Shame about the last one.
